CHEA Academy- Lets Make Cupcakes!
If you like to make cupcakes, stay after school with Mrs. Doherty in room 152 on Monday October 27th, Wednesday October 29th or Thursday October 30th! Please sign up on the clipboards in rooms 152 and 154.

CHEA Academy Sign- Ups
There will be a CHEA Academy planning session on Thursday October 16th during Power Hour B in Room 154. We will be deciding on what to make and sell during Homecoming Parade. We will also be deciding what our Charity donation will be from the profits.

Thursday October 23rd: All food for the Homecoming Parade will be prepped and packaged after school in room 154. Sign-up with Mrs. Daitch: b11bdait@mpspride.org

CHEA Academy
CHEA members design your academy T-shirt! Entry forms are outside of Silk City Cafe Room 157. The deadline has been extended to this Friday October 24th! Please turn into Mrs. Daitch's mailbox.


New England Service Academy Night
The 24th Annual New England Service Academy Night will be held at the Danversport Yacht Club, in Danvers, Ma., on 11/5/14 from 5:00-6:30 PM. Congressional staff will be present to discuss the Academy Appointment , Selection and Nomination process. For more information contact LTC Skip Davison at 802-485-2004.

Admission Rep/Military Recruiter visits to MHS
Admission Reps from the following College/Universities or Military Recruiters will be visiting MHS during the weeks of 10/27/14 11/07/14: Johnson State, Plymouth State, Mass College of Pharmacy, UMass Amherst, Albertus Magnus, Manhattan College, Post Univ., ECSU and St. Anselm. Sign up in Naviance, under college visits, to meet with them.


Hartford County Retired Teachers' Assoc. Scholarship
High school seniors who reside in Hartford County, attending a Hartford County public high school, and planning to pursue education leading to a career in teaching. Applications are available in the Guidance Office, rm. 117. Deadline - 3/15/15.

Elk Scholarships
Information on the Elk Scholarships are available online at www.elks.org and in Naviance for the Most Valuable Student Scholarship, The Legacy Award and the Emergency Educational Grant. Contact the local Elks Lodge at 860-646-9262 for information for the Elks Eagle Scout and The Girl Scout Gold Award Scholarships. Deadlines vary.

Student Activities

Senior Wear
Attention Seniors! Dont be left out in the cold... Senior wear is being offered again for those of you who didnt have the opportunity to order the first time. Order forms are available in the student activities office and are due to Mrs. Wabble by Nov 21st. Dont Miss out on this great bargain.

Homecoming Dance Tickets
Homecoming Dance tickets will go on sale starting October 16th through October 24th during power hour. The cost is $10. The dance will be on Saturday, October 25th. We will limit the number of tickets sold this year so buy them early. If you are bringing a guest, you MUST have a guest permission slip prior to purchasing tickets.

Homecoming King & Queen Elections
Voting will take place for this year's Homecoming King and Queen during power hour on Tuesday, Oct. 21st in the Student Activities Office today. Students must have a valid ID in order to cast a ballot. Students should vote for the candidate that they believe displays the greatest amount of school spirit, dedication to the organization they are representing and is committed to making Manchester High School a better place.
