The freshman softball team won their 4th game in a row by defeating Hall High School. Destiny Baldis pitched and hit well. She also caught for Lisa Malloy who pitched in the final inning. The Boys Golf team picked up their 4th win of the season yesterday defeating East Hartford by 60 strokes. Blake Kelley medaled with a 36, while Turner Meek also played well, shooting a 40.

The Italian and French Clubs will hold an afternoon of Pizza and Pétanque on Thursday, May 10th. Students will meet in room 139 at 2:15 after which we will go outdoors to play pétanque (in French)/bocce (in Italian), a game shared by both cultures. Pizza and Orangina will be served. The Boys Golf team played well yesterday, but lost to South Windsor by a few strokes. Playing well for the Indians was Blake Kelley, who recorded a 37 that included 2 birdies. The boys golf team played excellent yesterday in a narrow loss to East Catholic 171-167. Playing well for the boys was Medalist Blake Kelley with a 37, Turner Meek with a 41, and Brandon Barrett.

The Connecticut Education Foundation has a scholarship available for a minority graduating high school student who intends to enter the teaching profession and has been accepted at a Connecticut college or university. This workshop is for high school students who are ages 16 and older with a strong interest in journalism. The American Red Cross will be conducting a blood drive on Thursday, April 26, in the school gym. Students 17 years and older who meet weight and health requirements can contribute. Sign-ups will take place during the lunch waves.

The Multicultural Club would like to thank those who auditioned for the talent show this week.
