The freshman softball team won their 4th game in a row by defeating Hall High School. Destiny Baldis pitched and hit well. She also caught for Lisa Malloy who pitched in the final inning. Nikki Pirtel,Stephanie Gurski,and Kaitlin Maloney played well offensively. The girls finish their season next Monday at E.O.Smith.

French/Italian Clubs
The Italian and French Clubs will hold an afternoon of Pizza and Pétanque on Thursday, May 10th. Students will meet in room 139 at 2:15 after which we will go outdoors to play pétanque (in French)/bocce (in Italian), a game shared by both cultures. Pizza and Orangina will be served. The participation fee is $4 per student to be paid to Ms. Castro, Mr. Crochetière or Mr. Maidment by Friday, May 4.

The Boys Golf team played well yesterday, but lost to South Windsor by a few strokes. Playing well for the Indians was Blake Kelley, who recorded a 37 that included 2 birdies. Also playing well for the team was Turner Meek and Brandon Barrett. The Varsity and JV team play EO Smith today, if you see the guys in the hall, wish them luck today.

Destiny Baldis pitched a complete game with Lisa Malloy,Nikki Pirtel,Shannon Hatfield and Melissa Hill hitting well. Defensively Alexis Redfield,Kaitlin Maloney,Shay Sadowsky and Marina Hauseman played well. The team also defeated Hall high last Thursday.

Talent Show
The Multicultural Club would like to thank those who auditioned for the talent show this week. Contestant names will be posted on the Auditorium door in no particular order by the end of the school day Friday. Contestants should note the rehearsal dates. Anyone who is not at both rehearsals will be cut from the show. All contestants should see Ms. Warren in 284 next week for some brief questions and notes regarding your performance.

Concert Band dress rehearsal
Attention Concert Band members. Our third and final dress rehearsal for the Townwide Band concert will be held today, Monday, after school from 2:30 until 3:30 in the band room. This practice is for all members of the 1st, 3rd, and 7th period Concert band classes plus selected percussionists.

PFLAG Scholarships - Any Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex or Ally who will be attending a college/technical school, or an accredited post high school progam, a Connecticut resident, and is active in school or the community concerning LGBTIA issues. Staff and students are reminded that students are not allowed to order take-out food and have it delivered to the Main Office even if they will be under the supervision of a staff member. This is against school policy and all delivery personnel will be sent away. Thank you.
