13th Annual INCS Charter Lobby Day: Save the Date!
Dear Speer Academy families,

Year after year, charter public schools, like ours, work to provide the best possible education to our students.

But in order for us to do that, we can’t just focus on the work happening within our classrooms. We need to make sure that our elected leaders know about the work we do and provide us with the resources we need to succeed.

Last year is a perfect of example of what we can achieve when we come together. After years of advocating for fair funding for our students, the legislature finally responded, by including equitable per pupil funding for public charter students as a part of a landmark school funding bill.

We’re emailing today because we need your help once again. We’re now in the heart of the 2018 legislative session in Illinois and it’s time for us to go to Springfield and tell our legislative leaders about the positive impacts our schools have on our community, the city of Chicago, and the state of Illinois.

On May 17th, Noble Network families, alongside charter public school families from across the state, will come together for the 13th Annual INCS Charter Lobby Day in Springfield to let our legislators know about the impact that our schools are having. We cannot do this alone! Save this important date on your calendars! Please note that this is an all day event- transportation and food will also be provided.

As usual, if you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me.
