1. Clubs and Activities Information


Student of the Week
Hailey Benson is this week's student of the week. She has shown and understanding for all of her classes and is succeeding in all of her classes. Hailey is a strong student and rises above all the obstacles shes come in contact with. Thank you for all you've done for Carson High.


Prom
Prom is this week!! Don't forget your tickets! They are $40 per ticket and in the student finance office before school, at lunch, and after school on Monday the 27th through the 31st. Tickets will not be sold at the door, so get them now!


WNC Bridge to Success - Accuplacer Testing
Seniors who plan to attend WNC next year need to make an appointment to take the Accuplacer. WNC will be here March 30, 31, and April 3rd in the mornings to administer the test. Stop by the Guidance Office to make an appointment for your Accuplacer.

Attention current Sophomores and Juniors! Want to give back to your school? Take part in something bigger? Help out next year's freshen? Join Link Crew! Find a link crew board near you to pick up an application! Applications are due April 7th for new leaders.

S.A.G.E.
The S.A.G.E. gathering meets every Friday at lunch in Room 259. S.A.G.E. stands for Student Advocates for Gender Expansivity and we are a group of students and staff who support and advocate for gender diversity and acceptance at CHS. Lunch is always provided. Join us this Friday...ALL ARE WELCOME!


EOC tutoring
Hi, 9th and 10th grade students! If you are a current 9th or 10th grader, you must pass the Math I, Math II, ELA I and ELA II End of Course Assessments in May. If you have received a letter indicating that you must retake the Math I or ELA I EOC this year, please take advantage of EOC tutoring starting Tuesday, March 28th after school. Math EOC tutoring will take place in room 225 and English will take place in room 131. There will be a late bus leaving at 3:50 for transportation.



3. General Information


Girls State
Junior girls interested in finding out more information about Girl's State need to visit your counselor before school, after school or at lunch. You may also go online to http://nevadagirlsstate.net for more information.


WNC Driver Ed Courses
Western Nevada College will be offering 30-hour Driver Education Classes. Class sessions run 4 consecutive days and or Saturday's, 8:30 to 4:30 p.m. In person, classes are $100. Western Nevada College is also announcing a New Online 30-hour Driver Education Class. To register for all classes go to http://www.wnc.edu/continuing-education/ or call 775-445-4463.



4. Testing & College Information


NAK RISE Scholarship
Seniors who are attending UNR in the fall and are DACA or undocumented, the NAK RISE Above Scholarship is now available. Please log onto naknevada.com for more information.


John & Grace Nauman Foundation Scholarship
John and Grace Nauman Foundation is offering $4,000 scholarships for four years of college to CHS seniors who plan on attending UNR or Northern Colorado University and $2,000 scholarships will be given to students attending WNC. Applications can be obtained in the Guidance Office and are due 4/4/17. Priority will be given to students majoring in Education or Engineering.



CHS Wrestling Boosters Bing Blood Memorial Scholarship
CHS Wrestling Boosters Bing Blood Memorial Scholarship applications are available in the Guidance Office for seniors who wrestled this year and have 3.0 GPA. Due back to Guidance on 4/10/17.
